August 8th - August 10th
Arena will hold an Academy in New York City for aspiring candidates and campaign staffers from Thursday, August 8th to Saturday, August 10th. The Academy will arm 60 attendees with the skills, knowledge, and tools they need to build winning campaigns and movements.
The New York Academy will be focused on campaign management and communications. But regardless of the role for which you’re training, both curricula include a heavy emphasis on management, leadership, and digital and data literacy.
Campaign Manager: This track is for you if you are looking to manage a City Council, State Legislative or Congressional race. In addition, if you are planning to run for a local seat this will be a guide on how to manage a campaign as a candidate.
Communications Director: This track is for you if you are looking to step into a role crafting a campaign’s core messaging, running the press shop, and directing rapid response.
